Manufaktura Piwa Wódki i Wina offers to buy a brewery from Żywiec
Grupa Żywiec has received an offer from Manufaktura Piwa Wódki i Wina (MPWiW) to purchase the brewery in Leżajsk, MPWiW announced. The company estimates that a transaction could take place at the end of the second or the beginning of the third quarter.
"We are seriously interested in purchasing the brewery in Leżajsk. Our production capacity in Tenczynek does not allow us to meet the rapidly growing needs of the market,” said Janusz Palikot, president of Manufaktura Piwa Wodki I Wina. He specified that the company wants to buy the brewery with full infrastructure and the right to the trademark Leżajsk.
“According to information from Żywiec, the process of formal preparation for negotiations is underway" - he added.
