A willingness to work in a corporation is now indicated by 35% of professionals and managers versus 28% in 2019, according to a survey conducted for a report by recruitment and outsourcing firm Devire.
“ 35% of experts surveyed said that they would like to work in a corporation in 2020/21 versus 28% in 2019. This may be due to the fact that during the pandemic, employees were primarily looking for stable employment,” Devire CEO and Polish HR Forum board member Michal Mlynarczyk said, as quoted in the release.
In a medium-sized company (up to 250 employees) 20% of respondents would like to work (compared to 24 in the previous edition of the survey), while 8% in a small company (up to 50 employees), compared to 9% respectively), the material said.
At the same time, interest in working for startups has increased, with 7% of respondents declaring such a desire compared to 4% in the previous survey. In turn, there is less willingness to work as a freelancer - respectively: 3% vs. 6%.
The percentage of professionals who would like to work for a company with foreign capital has risen to 28% (from 21% in the previous survey), while the percentage willing to work for a company with Polish capital has fallen to 11% from 12% respectively. Still, for the majority (62% vs. 67% in the previous survey) the origin of the employer’s capital is irrelevant, the survey also shows.
The report is the second edition of the survey conducted among professionals and managers. The survey was conducted using the CAWI method, and responses were collected from November 2020 to March 2021. The questions were answered by 3002 respondents from 20 industries across Poland, of whom 48% were professionals, 39% were managers, 7% were assistants and 6% were students and freelancers.
