Mr.DIY preparing expansion in Poland
MR.DIY aims to build a network of at least 1,000 stores in Poland, according to Magdalena Nazarewicz, its European business development director. The retailer currently operates 35 Polish stores and plans to open its 50th in December 2026 at BIG Konstantynów. Expansion will span retail parks and shopping malls, targeting both larger cities and smaller towns. Existing stores range from approximately 500 to 1,300 sq m.
Nazarewicz warned that some local retail park markets are approaching saturation, making careful site selection essential. Globally, MR.DIY has around 5,600 stores and plans nearly 1,200 openings this year. A Polish flagship store remains a longer-term ambition.
