Modivo Group’s new ShockPrice chain opened 10 stores in just over two months, including its first international location in Romania on November 6. The company plans 27 additional openings by the end of 2026, bringing the network close to 30 stores, then about 50 more in 2027. Expansion is set to include the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Slovakia, and Hungary, with a focus on smaller cities and retail parks. Modivo says it will keep investment disciplined by favoring turnkey sites or landlords that contribute to fit-out costs, aiming for faster payback and profitability.

Early stores report higher sales per square meter and conversion than HalfPrice, more items per purchase, and faster inventory turnover.
