New CEO of PLL Lot appointed
The Supervisory Board of Polish Airlines LOT has appointed Michał Fijoł as the new CEO, filling the position left vacant since December 2022. Fijoł, who previously served as a member of the management board, brings years of experience in commercial affairs. Market expert Adrian Furgalski believes Fijoł's appointment signifies a non-confrontational approach to stakeholder discussions and emphasizes his responsibility for revenue recovery. LOT's strong performance in 2022, with 8 million passengers and projected profits of over PLN 100 million, instills confidence in its future.
The State Treasury is the majority shareholder, holding 69.3% of shares, while the Polish Aviation Group owns the remaining 30.7% and encompasses key aviation companies.
