NIK president resigns from his post to start in Senate elections
Krzysztof Kwiatkowski resigned from the position of the President of the Supreme Audit Office (NIK) on Monday. In a statement posted on the NIK website, Kwiatkowski wrote that his decision to run in parliamentary elections was the reason for the resignation.
He will announce his candidacy on Wednesday in his hometown of Łódź. Kwiatkowski had previously announced that he would soon disclose the decision regarding a possible start in the Senate elections. His decision coincides with the end of the term of office, which expires at the end of August.
