Health ministry calms down: there is no epidemiological threat associated with coronavirus for Poles today. The situation is monitored on an ongoing basis by the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate.

Ministry spokesman Wojciech Andrusiewicz informed that the head of the Ministry of Health Łukasz Szumowski met with the main sanitary inspector Jarosław Pinkas in connection with the amendment of the Act on the State Sanitary Inspection.

Pinkas is in ongoing contact with the services of the World Health Organization.

China's National Health Committee reported on Friday that the number of people infected with the new coronavirus is currently 830. It also reported that 41 people had died of acute pneumonia caused by a virus that was first detected in Wuhan.
