According to the study "Life in retirement – the imagination and attitude of Poles" implemented at the request of the Chamber of Fund and Asset Management (IZFiA), more than one-fifth of Poles do not save for retirement.  

For most of the respondents (60 percent), the amount needed in retirement should be between PLN 1,000 and PLN 2,999 per month.

In terms of ways to save money for retirement, 41 percent of Poles usually pay ZUS and KRUS contributions, 26 percent of those surveyed said they save money in a bank account and 19 percent pay Open Pension Fund (OFE) contributions.
