Pegasus for PiS bought by a company of people associated with the communist services

The Matic company, which bought the Pegasus spy system for the CBA, was established by people working in the Polish People's Republic for the militia and the Security Service. The tracks lead to Moscow and to the Foreign Intelligence Agency, which exercises informal supervision over the company.
It is known that Ewa Chabros-Chromińska and Jerzy Chabros are siblings who play an important role in Matic and in the 2CH company, which is the sole shareholder of Matic. In the archives of the Institute of National Remembrance (IPN), we read that Ewa Chabros-Chromińska was an officer of the Citizens' Militia and later of the Security Service in the times of the Polish People's Republic. Jerzy Chabros was also a MO officer.
In autumn 2017, the Central Anticorruption Bureau (CBA) – through the Matic company – bought the Pegasus spy system from the Israeli company NSO Group. In December 2021, it turned out that with the help of Pegasus, the services broke into the phones of the opposition senator Krzysztof Brejza, attorney Roman Giertych, and prosecutor Ewa Wrzosek.
