PO calls on president to change Senior Speaker of the Sejm
Civic Platform (PO) deputies have called on President Andrzej Duda to change his decision regarding the appointment of Antoni Macierewicz from the Law and Justice party as the so-called Senior Speaker of the Sejm (an honorary position held by one of the oldest MPs). They accused Macierewicz of “destructive” personnel policy at the Ministry of National Defense and gaining “political capital on the Smolensk lie.”
President Duda has recently also appointed Barbara Borys-Damięcka from the Civic Coalition as the Senior Speaker of the Senate.
