Poland becoming more attractive to foreign capital
Poland is attracting growing interest from foreign investors following S&P Dow Jones Indices’ decision to reclassify the country from an emerging to a developed market from September 2027. The move could broaden Poland’s investor base as index funds adjust their portfolios. Polish equities also remain relatively cheap, with the iShares MSCI Poland ETF trading at a P/E ratio of 11.7 versus 19.5 for the S&P 500. Analysts also point to Poland’s strong economic growth, technology sector, lower labor costs, EU funding, and potential benefits from Ukraine’s reconstruction.
Among the Polish stocks highlighted by foreign investors are CD Projekt, PlayWay, and the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
