Poland exports more services than Sweden, Austria or Finland
Poland’s global position in services exports has strengthened faster than its position in goods. From 2019 to 2025, it climbed from 26th to 20th among service exporters, surpassing countries including Sweden, Austria, and Finland. Its IT services exports rose from $0.5 bln in 2005 to $22.1 bln in 2025, making Poland the world’s 16th-largest technology-services exporter. Goods exports remain much larger, at about $414 bln versus $130 bln for services, but services now equal 12.6% of GDP, up from 5.9% in 2005.
Growing service exports diversify the economy, reduce exposure to European industrial downturns and tariffs, keep more value in Poland, and support balance-of-payments stability.
