Poland sees largest drop in job advertisements in a year
Poland recorded the largest single monthly decline in online job postings in a year in November, according to the Job Offers Barometer. This marked the second consecutive drop and signals a mild cooling of employer activity observed since April. Job vacancies fell across all four surveyed occupational groups, including STEM, services, social sciences and legal professions, as well as manual labor, although demand for physical workers remains relatively high. Only three regions – Pomeranian, Subcarpathian and Lublin – saw slight increases in postings, while all others reported declines, with the steepest drops in Warmian-Masurian, West Pomeranian and Łódź regions.
Registered unemployment stood at 5.8% in October, unchanged month on month and still low by EU standards. The report highlights particularly sharp declines in engineering, science, services, education and media-related roles.
