Finance and Economy Minister Andrzej Domański said Poland will develop domestic data-center capacity as the government seeks to make the country at least a regional leader in artificial intelligence capabilities. Speaking after a meeting of the Future Council, Domański said investment in AI infrastructure remains limited across Central and Eastern Europe and argued that Poland needs sufficient capacity to serve its domestic market and meet security requirements.

Domański described AI sovereignty as spanning energy supply, access to processors, physical data-center infrastructure, large models and applications, saying Poland should secure a position across those layers. The Future Council discussed technology sovereignty, data governance, financial markets, research funding and cybersecurity. The advisory body prepares policy recommendations for the prime minister. Adopted proposals will then undergo further analysis and discussion with relevant ministries and public institutions before any specific national measures are implemented.
