During the 6th edition of the ‘Outstanding Pole in France’ competition, the special persons distinguished in their professions, who contribute to promoting Poland in France, were honored.
The special award of the Polish ambassador to France, Tomasz Młynarski, went to prof. Claudine Kieda, biochemist, research director at the prestigious Paris CNRS (National Center for Scientific Research). Special awards were awarded as well to Andrzej Pawlak, doctor of medical sciences, and the eminent historian, writer, and journalist Piotr Witt – political commentator on Radio Free Europe from the 1980s until the end of the station.
This year's winners were: chemist prof. Artur Ciesielski, Piotr Stokłosa (photographer cooperating with luxury fashion houses), as well as Jolanta and Michel Forkasiewicz (Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland), social activists who help Polish companies to gain the French market and invest French entrepreneurs in Poland.
