Poles amongst 15% of happiest nations in the world
Poland has ranked among the top 15% happiest countries globally, according to the latest World Happiness Report, surpassing nations such as France, the UK, Canada, and the United States. The country has steadily climbed the ranking, moving from 53rd place in 2011 to 24th in 2025.
Rising life satisfaction is driven mainly by economic growth and increasing wealth, as well as strong social support and relationships. While income explains a significant share of happiness, factors like personal freedom, health, and low corruption also contribute.
The report highlights that happiness is not solely tied to wealth, as seen in countries like Costa Rica, where strong social bonds play a key role.
