A survey conducted for Pyszne.pl shows that already one million Poles are vegetarians and vegans, while as many as two million are planning to go on such a diet. In addition, according to IQS, 43% of Poles strongly limit their consumption of meat.

“Demand for plant products is growing both in Poland and globally. Although we associate it mainly with people on a vegetarian or vegan diet, as much as 90% of sales are generated by people who are not on any of these diets,” said Patrycja Homa, the director of ProVeg Polska. In her opinion, however, we are still far behind Western countries in this regard, which is why there is still room for such products.

According to a report by AT Kearney, in 2040 conventional meat will only account for 40% of the meat market. As much as 35% of meat will be delivered by laboratories. Plant substitutes will account for 25% of the market (already in 2025 their share is to amount to 10%).
