Poles' housing debts amount to more than PLN 290 million

According to data from the National Debt Register of the Economic Information Bureau (KRD), overdue financial obligations of debtors overdue with rent and all fees related to the use of housing amount to PLN 290.8 million, and the average debt of one debtor, for example, for unpaid fees for housing, garbage collection or heating, amounts to PLN 15,600.
The capital of housing debtors is the Silesian Voivodeship, the largest number of such people reside there (6,899), and they have the highest total debt nationwide at PLN 133.7 million. Just behind it in terms of the value of overdue financial obligations is the Opole Voivodeship (PLN 45.3 million), followed by the Łódź Voivodeship (PLN 23.2 million).
However, there is no doubt that the total debt listed in the KRD is just the tip of the iceberg, and the real value of overdue housing liabilities would be even several times higher. The problem is that managers very rarely enter such arrears in the business information bureaus.
