Poles more ambitious in terms of climate than government

As much as 68 percent of Poles want to increase the national climate target for 2030. We prefer regulations and pro-climate regulations for transport and construction to emissions taxes that would hit the pockets of consumers.
In all EU countries, support for the government's ambitious action to combat climate change is high. This also applies to those countries in Eastern Europe where the national climate targets have so far been very low. In Romania, support was 73 percent, in Poland 68 percent, and in Hungary 67 percent, according to a study by the Brussels-based YouGov poll, which was reached by 300gospodarka portal.
YouGov, commissioned by Transport & Environment (T&E), a Brussels organization associating pro-environmental non-governmental organizations, surveyed 13,324 adults in 12 EU countries: Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, and Spain.
