Poles to borrow PLN 6.82bn from loan companies in 2019: BIK
Loan companies granted 2,745,100 loans for PLN 6.82 billion in 2019, according to the observations of the Credit Information Bureau (BIK). This means an increase of 0.8 percent y/y in numerical terms. In December alone, financing was granted in the amount of PLN 533 million.
Throughout 2019, loans up to PLN 1,000 dominated in numerical terms constituting 38 percent of the number of financing granted. In terms of value, loans granted for amounts less than PLN 1,000 had a 9 percent share in sales.
Current readings compared to December 2018 indicate that the average value of the non-bank loan granted amounted to PLN 2,295 and was lower by 8.5 percent than the average value of the loan granted in December 2018.
