Presidential Debates in Końskie Highlight Diverse Campaign Messages

On April 11, 2025, Końskie hosted two presidential debates, drawing candidates from across the political spectrum. Participants included Rafał Trzaskowski, Karol Nawrocki, Szymon Hołownia, Magdalena Biejat, Joanna Senyszyn, Marek Jakubiak, Krzysztof Stanowski, and Maciej Maciak.
The debates, broadcast by TVP, TVN, Polsat, and TV Republika, showcased varied campaign messages. Trzaskowski emphasized unity, stating, "Politics is not a boxing ring; we need an open hand, not a clenched fist." Hołownia and Nawrocki criticized the debate's format, suggesting it lacked substance.
Biejat urged voters to support their values in the first round, highlighting leftist achievements like widow's pensions and advocating for policies on abortion and civil unions. Senyszyn appealed for votes by promising peace and asserting her ability to challenge political leaders. Jakubiak warned of immigration threats, while Maciak called for practical leadership.
The debates underscored the candidates' differing visions for Poland's future, setting the stage for the upcoming election.
