In 2019, as much as 880,000 sqm of office space was leased in Warsaw, the consulting company JLL said in a statement.  During this time 160,000 sqm in seventeen buildings were commissioned. Another 790,000 sqm is currently under construction.


The largest transactions in 2019 were concluded by mBank (45,600 sqm – Mennica Legacy Tower), Orange Polska (44,800 sqm in Orange Town) and T-Mobile (27,400 sqm in Marynarska 12).


The report states that in 2019 the volume of pre-lettings increased dynamically.


“Increasingly less available rental options in existing office buildings have prompted companies to consider buildings under construction. In the period from January to the end of December, as much as 225,000 sqm of demand fell on pre-let, which is a 60% increase compared to the whole 2018,” Mateusz Polkowski, Director of the Market Research and Consultancy Department at JLL, said.
