Remuneration on the boards of WSE companies up by 9% y/y in 2020

The average annual remuneration of a management board member of a company listed on the main market of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) paid in 2020 was PLN 673,500, which means an increase of 9 percent y/y, according to the report prepared by Grant Thornton.

"The statistical company from the main market of the Warsaw Stock Exchange paid its management boards almost PLN 2.8 million gross (including basic salaries and various bonuses and commissions) in 2009," the report reads.

Counting from 2009, the average remuneration of a management board member increased by a total of 41 percent, i.e. by 16 percent in real terms, after eliminating the dynamics of consumer prices.
