Employees who work night shifts are entitled to a mandatory wage supplement under the Polish Labor Code. The allowance is paid for each hour worked at night and equals 20% of the hourly rate calculated from the minimum wage. In July 2026, Poland’s minimum monthly wage is PLN 4,806 gross, while the nominal working time is 184 hours. This gives an hourly rate of PLN 26.12 and a night-work supplement of PLN 5.22 per hour.

An employee working 184 night hours in July could therefore receive an extra PLN 960.48 gross, or nearly PLN 1,000. Night time covers eight consecutive hours between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m., with the exact period set by the employer.
