The Senate rejected the amendment to the Act on radio and television and the Act on subscription fees, providing for the allocation of PLN 1.95 billion this year to state-owned public radio and television compensation for lost revenues from the subscription. There were 51 senators against the amendment, 45 were for and 1 abstained.

The amendment also repealed the provision in the Act on radio and television, limiting the number of members of the company's management board to 3 persons. Now the amendment will go back to the Sejm, which may reject the Senate veto.
