In April 2023 enrolment opened for one-year postgraduate studies on Master of Business Administration (Banking and the Financial System), which are jointly organised by the NBP Academy and the Copernican Academy.

The studies are aimed at executives of financial institutions – directors, managers and members of statutory bodies. The lectures will begin in June 2023 in Warsaw. The lecturers will include world-renowned economists from central banks. The MBA studies will enable participants to gain prestigious managerial qualifications and a broad knowledge of the functioning of the banking system in the economy, including the tasks of the central bank. The programme also includes a discussion of selected aspects of the activities of commercial banks and their interaction with the central bank and the supervisory system. During the lectures, the market practitioners will also present the mechanisms of the functioning of financial markets and the issues related to investment portfolio management and market risk.

“The subjects of the lectures will focus on the functioning of financial systems and the role of commercial banks and central banking in these systems. Financial instruments will be analysed, including bank accounting, statistics and reporting, as well as monetary policy and money circulation.” said Professor Adam Glapiński, Governor of NBP.
