Survey: 71.9% of Poles believe they see inflated prices before Black Friday
A new report, “Polacy na kursie Black Friday 2025,” shows that 71.9% of Poles believe retailers raise prices before Black Friday to make later “discounts” appear more attractive. Although consumers are aware of this practice, it does not deter them – heavy promotions and the event’s popularity keep shoppers engaged. Experts note that price manipulation is widespread, especially since over 70% of consumers say they have noticed it repeatedly. At the same time, 84% of shoppers verify whether discounts are real, using price trackers, apps, and comparison tools.
Only a small minority never checks prices. According to analysts, growing consumer awareness means retailers must keep pricing transparent or risk losing trust in a market where fake promotions are quickly exposed.
