Survey: four in ten resident of Mazowieckie Voivodeship considering moving for work
Four in ten residents of the Mazowieckie region are considering moving for work, according to research by Nieruchomosci-online.pl. The main driver is uneven job access. In Warsaw, unemployment is about 1.5%, compared to 4.5% across the region. Around half of Warsaw residents rate job opportunities as good, versus only about 20% outside the capital, where people are more likely to look elsewhere.
Still, work is not the only factor. Strong ties to family, community, and property keep many rooted, especially in regions like Podlasie, where only 15% consider leaving for jobs.
Housing dreams reflect a shift in priorities. One in five would choose a quiet neighborhood in a large city, one in ten the seaside, and just 8% a city center. Rural living is most appealing in Warmia-Masuria, while coastal areas attract residents from the south seeking cleaner air.
