Power utility Tauron dismissed deputy CEO for trade Artur Michalowski and deputy CEO for assets Jerzy Topolski. The move comes shortly after Sebastian Góla, president of Tauron-owned Nowe Jaworzno, also lost his position. Unofficial media reports suggest that all dismissals are related to problems at the new coal block in Jaworzno.

The block has been struggling for weeks with breakdowns most likely caused by the burning of poor-quality fuel. On Saturday, Tauron announced that the 910 MW block will not be operational until August 29.

According to onet.pl, both vice-presidents were involved in the construction of a new coal-fired unit.
