The opposition wants the Marshal of the Sejm, Elżbieta Witek, to resign
Opposition groups began preparations to select a joint candidate for the Marshal of the Sejm, who would take the place of Elżbieta Witek. After the PiS lost the vote during the last meeting, the marshal ordered a reassumption, citing legal opinions that did not exist.
Moreover, as a result of the talks conducted during the two-hour break in the deliberations of the three Kukiz'15 MPs – Paweł Kukiz, Jarosław Sachajko, and Stanisław Żuk – changed their mind. Thanks to this, the deliberations were not adjourned and the controversial Lex TVN act was adopted by the Sejm.
Last week, KO and The Left notified the prosecutor's office about the possibility of committing a crime by Marshal Elżbieta Witek. The Left has also announced that it will file a motion to dismiss it.
