UKNF investigating Zondacrypto’s cryptocurrency by interviewing 1,500
Over 1,500 people were questioned by law enforcement in investigations into Zondacrypto, initiated after reports from UKNF. Despite this, prosecutors found no evidence of wrongdoing, and discontinued the cases, effectively reinforcing the exchange’s credibility.
In early 2026, UKNF sent inquiries to nearly 450 investment firms and TFI, asking about any links or exposure to Zondacrypto tokens. The exchange’s CEO argued these questions suggested misconduct without basis and unfairly targeted the company over competitors.
Investigations were largely triggered by unverified online complaints, mainly about AML procedures. Many users admitted they had not read the platform’s rules. Authorities confirmed the probes concerned user complaints, not the exchange’s core operations.
