In November this year, the total value of trading in shares on the main market of the WSE was PLN 30.5 billion, or 2.6 percent less than in the corresponding period a year earlier, the Warsaw Stock Exchange announced. The value of trading in shares on the order book fell by 2.9 percent y/y to PLN 29.8 billion.
As reported, the average daily value of shares traded on the order book was PLN 1.48 billion, which was 2.9 percent less y/y. The value of the WIG index at the end of November amounted to 67,814.89 points and was 28.8 percent higher than last year.
On the NewConnect market in November, the total value of trading in shares decreased by 78.8 percent y/y to the level of PLN 318.9 million. The value of trading in equities on the NewConnect order book fell by 79.3 percent y/y and amounted to PLN 309.8 million.
The total volume of trading in derivatives in November was 984,700 pcs, i.e. by 2.5 percent less than a year earlier. The volume of trading in index futures fell by 13.6 percent y/y to the level of 491,700 pcs. The volume of trading in futures fell by 19.6 percent y/y to 207,300 pcs, the volume of trading in currency futures increased by 75.3 percent y/y to 255,900 pcs, and the volume of trading in options fell by 20.0 percent y/y to 29,700 pcs.
