Virya Energy has announced a strategic partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to acquire and deliver Optima Wind’s portfolio of solar farms, energy storage projects, and onshore wind farms in Poland. The deal includes the 722 MW Sidłowo project, set to become Poland’s largest photovoltaic farm and the first connected to the 400 kV high-voltage grid operated by Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne.

Construction will begin in the coming weeks. The partnership also establishes Virya Renewables Poland, targeting over 1 GW of operational renewable capacity in Poland by 2028 and supporting projects exceeding 2 GW. Globally, Virya aims to expand from 0.7 GW today to 4.3 GW installed capacity by 2034.
