WSE expands its offer in agricultural exchange market

On July 24 this year. Towarowa Giełda Energii (TGE), operating within the Warsaw Stock Exhcange (GPW) Group, introduces to the Agricultural and Food Commodity Market (RTRS) the possibility of trading standardized rye grains of class B and C. Rye trading on RTRS will be, like wheat, conducted in the cash market formula in the single-price exchange systems and auction.
Since the launch of RTRS, as many as 32 authorized warehouses have been operating on the market and 3 brokerage houses have been approved
"I am glad that the agricultural exchange market is developing its activities. Its launch was a historic moment for our agriculture and the fulfillment of my many years of dreams. Many of my predecessor ministers talked about it, but they did not manage to achieve it somehow. We have been testing new tools and methods for several months now. Market analysis in advance is very important here. The introduction of rye, the next product on the RTRS market, results from the analysis of the needs of its participants and means the transition to the next stage of the agricultural market development," Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, said.
The rye will be traded in the so-called spot market, which means that the concluded transactions are subject to immediate execution.
