The CEOs of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) and the Armenia Securities Exchange (AMX) have signed an agreement and initiated a Share Purchase Agreement. The seller of the 65.03 percent stake in the Armenia Securities Exchange is the Central Bank of Armenia (CBoA).

The ceremony took place during the World Economic Forum in Davos and was attended by the Presidents of Poland and Armenia: Andrzej Duda, President of Poland and Wahagn Khachaturian, President of Armenia.

"We are taking over not only 65 percent of the shares, but most importantly we are taking over a certain responsibility for the Armenian capital market. Our main objective is to transfer the experience of the 30 years of the Polish capital market to the Armenian land, and more broadly to the land of the Southern Caucasus, as Armenia plays an extremely important role as a country between various capital flows in the region – for example, the seat of the Federation of Eurasian Exchanges is in Yerevan," Marek Dietl, CEO of the WSE, said.
