The Warsaw Stock Exchange will start publishing the WIG-ESG index from September 3.  It will be covering companies considered to be socially responsible, participating in the WIG20 and mWIG40 indices, the stock exchange said in a press release. From January 1, 2020, the WSE will stop publishing the RESPECT Index.
The weights of companies in WIG-ESG are to depend on the number of free-float shares, adjusted for the results of the ESG ranking prepared by the Sustainalytics agency and the assessment of the application of corporate governance principles.
