In March 2024, Poland's core inflation dropped to 4.6% year-on-year from 5.4% in February, while m/m remained at 0.5%, unchanged from the previous month, as reported by the National Bank of Poland (NBP). NBP stated that in y/y comparison for March:
- Excluding administered prices, inflation stood at 1.8% compared to 2.8% the previous month.
- Excluding the most volatile prices, inflation was 3.4% compared to 4.5% the previous month.
- Excluding food and energy prices, inflation was 4.6% compared to 5.4% the previous month.
- The trimmed mean, which removes the influence of 15% of prices with the lowest and highest dynamics, was 2.8% compared to 3.8% the previous month.
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for March 2024 was 2.0% y/y and 0.2% m/m, compared to 2.8% y/y and 0.3% m/m in February.
