The 10th anniversary edition of the Everest Run, a 24-hour charity stair climb organized by the RK Rescue Support Foundation, took place on February 21–22 at the Skyliner office building in Warsaw. For the fourth time, participants attempted to symbolically scale Mount Everest by climbing the skyscraper’s 42 floors 55 times, the equivalent of 8,848 meters. This year’s event brought together 377 participants, including 297 individual climbers and 20 four-person relay teams, as well as 11 runners from Estonia, England, Italy and Belarus.

For the first time in the event’s history, the fastest climber of the symbolic Everest was a woman. Klaudia Krajewska completed the full 8,848 meters in 11 hours and 20 minutes, setting a women’s record. She also dominated in total ascents, reaching the 42nd floor 109 times, the highest result of the event, covering 17,685 meters vertically. Among men, Wojciech Pogorzelec recorded the best time at 12 hours and 24 minutes. In the team competition, Team Estonia set a new record with 150 ascents, equivalent to 24,337.5 vertical meters.

A total of 112 individual participants completed at least the symbolic Everest distance, with 57 surpassing it. The oldest competitor was 82-year-old Giovanni from Italy, and the youngest was 19. Nearly 60 volunteers, 28 medical personnel and 11 organizers ensured the event ran smoothly.

Beyond sport, the Everest Run carries a strong charitable mission. Funds raised will support the purchase of medical equipment for rescue teams. The anniversary edition also featured a special prize funded by Make Life Camper: a week-long camper van trip won by Marcin Dąbrowski. Over the years, the event has become a key fixture in Warsaw’s sports calendar, combining extreme endurance with meaningful support for emergency services.
