On 22–23 January 2026, the International Congress Centre in Katowice will host the 10th anniversary edition of 4 Design Days, one of Poland’s leading events dedicated to architecture, design and the real estate sector. Since its launch in 2016, the event has become an important platform for dialogue between architects, business leaders, investors and public-sector representatives, focusing on how the built environment can respond to contemporary challenges.

The jubilee edition will combine reflection on the past decade with a strong forward-looking agenda addressing sustainable development, ESG, technological innovation, urban resilience and the evolving role of design in shaping quality of life.

Among the special guests of 4 Design Days 2026 will be two internationally recognized architects.

David Sim, Scottish architect and author of the acclaimed book Soft City, will share his perspective on human-centred urban planning and the creation of more liveable, inclusive cities. For many years he worked with Gehl Architects, contributing to projects worldwide that prioritise the everyday experience of urban space.

Jonas Norsted, co-founder of the Norwegian studio Atelier Oslo, will present an approach rooted in the transformation and reuse of existing buildings. His award-winning projects, including the Deichman Library in Oslo and the redevelopment of the former U.S. Embassy, demonstrate how contemporary architecture can engage in dialogue with heritage and context.

The program will bring together leading Polish architects and experts such as Tomasz Konior, Robert Konieczny, Przemo Łukasik and Agnieszka Kalinowska-Sołtys. An integral part of the event are the prestigious competitions Property Design Awards and Dobry Design, with winners announced during the official Gala on 22 January.

The anniversary edition of 4 Design Days further strengthens Katowice’s position as a key venue for discussions shaping the future of cities and the built environment in Poland.
