Growing trust in mobile banking means 57% of Poles sometimes leave their traditional wallets at home and rely entirely on their smartphones for payments, according to Santander Consumer Bank. Eighty-one percent say banking apps make everyday money management easier and save time.

The trend is strongest among people aged 18–39, but 46% of those aged 60 and over also use their phones as a wallet. It is slightly more common in midsize cities than in major metropolitan areas.

More than half of respondents use additional services such as parking payments, transit tickets, and insurance purchases. Sixty-two percent also value features including automatic reminders, spending categories, and product suggestions. Mobile-only users are particularly positive, with 74% finding these tools helpful.
