Allegro has put up its first four green energy-powered parcel vending machines, including three in Warsaw and one in Poznan, the company said in a press release. The network expansion is scheduled for the holiday season and customers will be able to pick up their first parcels from the new machines in the fall of 2021.
Currently, 80 percent of shipments ordered on Allegro reach customers within 1-2 days, thanks to the largest network in Poland, which includes more than 31 thousand pick-up points and parcel machines.
According to a report by PwC, in 5 years the e-commerce market in Poland will reach a value of 162 billion PLN, which means an average growth of 12% per year. Last Mile Experts estimates that in 2022 the number of shipments in Poland will exceed one billion.
