US e-commerce giant Amazon has announced plans to open a new logistics center with an area of over 60,000 sqm in Okmany near Bolesławiec, in which over 1,000 new jobs will be created within the next 18 months. This will be the company’s third investment in Lower Silesia and sixth in Poland.
“We are increasing our presence in Lower Silesia and creating many additional jobs. Since 2014 we have generated over PLN 1.5 billion in investments and created over 4,000 permanent jobs,” Steven Harman, vice president of operations at Amazon in Europe, said.
