Popeyes is accelerating its expansion in Poland, focusing on shopping malls, new restaurant formats, and digitalization. According to Michał Różycki, head of expansion at Rex Concept, malls have become a key growth channel due to the “Retailtainment” model, where dining drives footfall and spending. Despite slightly lower overall visits, customers come less often but spend more, making food courts effective social hubs. In 2026, Popeyes plans to enter cities such as Gdańsk, Łódź, Lublin, Bydgoszcz, and Toruń, while debuting street-based “in-line” locations alongside malls and Drive-Thru formats. Diversifying sales channels, including delivery, reduces risk.

Over the next five years, the brand will prioritize digital tools, apps, and technology while retaining a company-owned model to ensure quality control.
