Analysis: 40% of job offers apply to immediate employment
Around 40% of job postings in Poland offered an immediate start, according to an analysis by Grupa Progres of more than 122,100 vacancies conducted August 1–14, 2026. Demand for workers available immediately was highest in construction, manufacturing, retail, and the transport, shipping and logistics (TSL) sector, followed by HoReCa, transportation, and cleaning services. Meanwhile, Statistics Poland (GUS) reported that unemployed people spent an average of 8.5 months actively seeking work in Q1 2026, highlighting a widening mismatch between employers’ urgency and candidates’ job searches.
Grupa Progres said labor shortages are forcing companies to accelerate recruitment, reconsider which skills are essential from day one, and provide more on-the-job training.
