‘Let's wear masks, keep our distance!’ – athletes supported by PKN ORLEN appeal. The action of the players is part of the company's activities related to the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Athletes supported by PKN ORLEN are several dozen champions who win titles in the world's most important arenas. It is also a group of people with a character shaped by years of challenges, training and numerous sacrifices on the way to the top. Today, these features not only help them fight the pandemic, but also allow them to promote healthy and responsible behavior in the entire Polish society,” Adam Burak, Member of the PKN ORLEN Management Board for Communication and Marketing said.

Nearly 50 athletes supported by the concern were involved in the action, including, among others: world speedway champion Bartosz Zmarzlik, F1 and DTM driver Robert Kubica, athlete Anita Włodarczyk, Justyna Święty-Ersetic, European taekwondo champion Aleksandra Kowalczuk or the entire team of VERVA Warszawa ORLEN Paliwa volleyball players. The initiative is to promote the rules consistent with the current sanitary regime using its own channels in social media.

“My starts in F1 and DTM can only take place thanks to the observance of very strict sanitary rules. The mask and social distance protect us and our relatives from falling ill, nowadays it is difficult to imagine functioning without them,” Robert Kubica said.
