Average salary in Warsaw the third highest in Poland
The average salary in Warsaw in 2018 amounted to PLN 6,432, results from the latest available year-round data of the Central Statistical Office (GUS). For comparison, in 2017 the average earnings were at PLN 6,059. This means that the average earnings in Warsaw in 2018 increased by 6% compared to the previous year. On the other hand, a decade ago – in 2008 – the average salary in Warsaw according to GUS data was PLN 4,504, i.e. by 43% lower than today.
The average salary throughout Poland in 2018 was PLN 4,834 (PLN 3,158 in 2008). Jastrzębie Zdrój came first, where the average salary was PLN 8,121 (68% more than the national average), Lubin came second (PLN 7,915) and the last, 380 place was the Kępiński poviat, whose inhabitants earned PLN 3,183.
