BGK signs contracts with KPO for over PLN 900 mln for digitalization and RES
Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) has accelerated contracting under Poland’s National Recovery Plan (KPO), signing three agreements worth over PLN 900 million for digitalization and renewable energy projects. The funds include preferential or zero-interest loans for energy network digitalization and the construction of photovoltaic farms. BGK manages financing across several KPO areas, including energy, digital transformation, green cities, and defense. While interest in renewable energy funding significantly exceeds available resources, allocations for offshore wind and green urban projects have been reduced.
Savings were redirected to a new Security and Defense Fund worth over PLN 22 billion, set to launch in 2026. The fund will support loans, capital investments, and cybersecurity and defense-related projects.
