Business, governance, and the future of management at the 4th Women on Boards Poland conference
The Women Leaders conference will be held for the fourth time. This prestigious, recurring business event is organized by Women on Boards Poland, a club that brings together women serving on the management and supervisory boards of Poland’s largest companies. The event gathers business leaders, market experts, representatives of public administration, and professionals from the technology, finance, and energy sectors, creating a platform for discussions on the future of management, the quality of strategic decision-making, and the role of diversity in building modern organizations.
The Women Leaders conference is aimed at professionals who want to promote women’s leadership, share business knowledge and experience, develop leadership competencies, and inspire others to take action. It offers a unique opportunity to meet leaders representing key sectors of the economy, from energy and finance to technology, industry, media, and public administration.
Women Leaders is an initiative organized by the free business club Women on Boards Poland, whose mission is to support women in executive and supervisory roles and build a strong community of business leaders. The organizers emphasize that the conference is based on creating a space for integration, the exchange of experience, and the development of valuable professional relationships.
“We believe that the exchange of knowledge, inspiration, and experience among conference participants helps them achieve business goals more effectively, strengthens organizations, and inspires them to pursue new paths of professional and personal development,” the organizers emphasize.
This year’s edition focuses on the strategic role of human capital, the quality of decision-making processes on boards, and the impact of diversity on organizational resilience amid dynamic economic, regulatory, and technological change.
The conference will be opened by Katarzyna Kotula, Minister for Equality at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, and Adam Szejnfeld, Senator of the Republic of Poland and Honorary Member of the Women on Boards Club.
The event program includes three expert panel discussions devoted to the most important challenges in contemporary governance and leadership.
The first panel, “The Talent Pipeline to Executive Boards: Why Doesn’t the System Deliver Enough Women Leaders?”, will focus on succession mechanisms, career paths to executive positions, and systemic barriers limiting women’s participation in top management. The discussion will feature representatives of the energy, finance, and technology sectors, including organizations such as Energa Group, Polish Nuclear Power Plants, Amazon, and BLIK.
The second panel, “The Board as a Decision-Making System: How Human Capital Influences Organizational Effectiveness, Risk, and Resilience,” will explore the quality of decision-making processes amid growing business complexity, the energy transition, digitalization, and regulatory pressure. Experts will discuss how diversity of experience enhances board effectiveness, reduces groupthink, and strengthens organizational resilience.
One of the key highlights of the program will be the launch of the Advantage report during the panel “Board Diversity as a Mechanism for Better Decision Quality: Between Intuition and Risk Management Systems.” The discussion will focus on the impact of board composition on the quality of strategic deliberation, the identification of systemic risks, and the effectiveness of governance mechanisms.

Panel participants will include:
• Magdalena Kamińska, President of the Management Board, Energa Group S.A.
• Katarzyna Matuszczyk, CFO, BLIK
• Katarzyna Zawodna-Bijoch, President of the Management Board, SKANSKA Development
• Magdalena Bezulska, President of the Management Board, Veolia Term
• Ewa Sowińska, Member of the Supervisory Board, ORLEN S.A.
• Natalia Klima-Piotrowska, Member of the Supervisory Board, TAURON S.A.
• Katarzyna Ciechanowska-Ciosk, Managing Director, Amazon
The conference program will also feature an expert presentation, “Who Is Responsible for AI? The Role of Boards in the Age of Technology,” delivered by Artur Skalski of SAS Central Europe, as well as a fireside chat with Katarzyna Sokołowska.
Following the conference sessions, a paid Executive segment will take place, including the workshop “Using AI Tools in Management” and a networking Rooftop Summer Party on the terrace.
The organizers emphasize that Women Leaders is not only a conference but, above all, a platform for genuine exchange of experience and relationship-building among professionals responsible for strategic decisions in Poland’s largest organizations.
The fourth edition of the event aims to be a source of inspiration, a space for developing competencies, and a forum for discussions about the future of modern leadership: one based on decision quality, accountability, and diversity of perspectives.
