British band Coldplay will embark on an environmentally friendly tour called Music Of The Spheres. The musicians pledged to reduce their carbon dioxide emissions by 50 percent compared to the previous tour. In cooperation with SAP, they developed a free application encouraging fans to use low-emission transport.
UN analyzes indicate that global emissions will increase by 16 percent near the end of the decade compared to 2010. In turn, Swiss Re reports that due to climate change, global GDP may shrink by 18 percent by 2050. The battle for the planet is on. Cinema and music stars are involved in decarbonization initiatives. The Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation has been supporting organizations and initiatives working for a sustainable future since 1998. Jane Fonda has published a book encouraging involvement in environmental projects, and the Coldplay team is organizing a low-carbon tour. The group will play in Poland, Germany, France, the USA, Mexico, and Costa Rica, among others. In July, it will arrive in Warsaw to perform at the PGE National Stadium.
