The Polish candidate for the 2020 Oscar in the best international feature film category will be "Corpus Christi" directed by Jan Komasa, the Oscar Commission chaired by producer Ewa Puszczyńska announced. Paweł Pawlikowski's "Cold War" was the last Polish production that fought for the statuette.

The film premiered at the festival in Venice, where it received two awards. This is the story of twenty-year-old Daniel who pretends to be a priest after leaving the prison.

The international feature film is a new category name that was previously described as the best non-English film. The 92nd Academy Awards will take place on February 9, 2020.
